A Centerpiece People Drive Across Town to See
A tower tree is the piece that turns a parking lot into a destination. Shopping centers use them to pull evening traffic. Towns put them on the green and build a tree-lighting night around them. Hotels, wineries, hospitals and churches use them as the one thing everyone photographs and posts.
We supply, install, maintain, remove and store commercial Christmas tower trees from 12 feet to 52 feet across Central and Northern Virginia. You pick the height and the look. We handle everything from the delivery truck to the January takedown, and the tree lives in our warehouse the rest of the year rather than in your storage unit.
Choosing a Height for Your Site
The most common mistake is buying by budget instead of by sightline. A tree that’s too short for its space reads as an afterthought; a tree that’s too tall for its footprint looks crowded and can be a wind problem. Here’s roughly how the sizes land.
12 to 16 feet courtyards, lobbies and entrances
The right scale for a hotel porte-cochรจre, a church entrance, a restaurant patio or an office lobby with height. Viewed from thirty or forty feet away, at eye level. Modest footprint and straightforward power.
20 to 30 feet the workhorse range
This is where most shopping centers, town greens, HOA clubhouses and business parks land. Big enough to be visible across a parking lot and to hold its own against a building facade, small enough to fit most existing plazas without closing off circulation.
35 to 52 feetย regional landmark scale
For open greens, large retail centers, campus quads and municipal squares where the tree needs to be visible from the road and from a distance. At this scale the tree becomes an event in its own right, and site planning, power and anchoring all need to be worked out properly in advance. If you’re considering this range, talk to us earlyย these are the first to book.
Not sure which fits? Send us a photo of the space and rough dimensions and we’ll tell you honestly what will look right. Our photo gallery has installations at several of these scales.
RGB, Warm White, or Decorated
Three looks, and the choice usually comes down to how the tree will be used.
Color-changing RGB is the flexible option. Every section can be programmed, so the tree can run red and green through December, switch to your brand colors for a corporate event, run your school or team colors on a game night, and animate on a schedule for a nightly show. Towns and shopping centers usually go this route because the tree earns its keep across more than one event.
Classic warm white is the traditional look. Clean, timeless, and the safer choice for historic districts, churches and properties where an animated display would feel out of place.
Unlit and decorated uses oversized ornaments and ribbon instead of light. It works well for daytime-traffic properties and indoor atriums.
You can combine approaches โ warm white body with a lit star, or RGB with decorated lower tiers. We’ll mock it up before you commit.

What's Included
Every tower tree installation covers the full cycle:
- Delivery to your site
- Assembly and professional installation by our crew
- Anchoring and ballasting appropriate to the site and the height
- Electrical connection and controller setup
- Programming, including scheduled scenes and color changes for RGB trees
- In-season maintenanceย if a section goes dark in December, we come out
- Takedown and removal in January
- Off-season storage in our warehouse
You don’t buy the tree, store the tree, or find somewhere to put it in February. That’s the point of the rental model, and it’s why most of our commercial customers renew year after year rather than purchasing.
Site Requirements, Power and Anchoring
This is the section most vendors skip, so here’s the straight version.
Power. Tower trees do not run on a single household circuit. Depending on height and whether the tree is RGB, an installation may need multiple dedicated 20-amp circuits or a distribution panel tie-in, and larger trees frequently need a licensed electrician to make the final connection. We do a power assessment during the site visit and tell you exactly what’s required before you commitย including whether your existing exterior outlets are sufficient or whether temporary distribution is needed.
Anchoring. How a tree is secured depends on what it’s standing on. On soft ground we anchor into grade. On asphalt, concrete plazas and rooftop terraces we use ballast systems that require no penetration. Larger trees are guyed. Every installation is engineered for the wind exposure at that specific siteย an open town green and a sheltered courtyard are not the same problem.
Footprint and access. You’ll need clear ground for the base plus working room around it during install, and a route for the delivery vehicle and lift. We check all of this on the site visit rather than discovering it on installation day.
Insurance. We carry commercial liability coverage and can provide a certificate of insurance naming your organization as additional insured โ usually a requirement for municipal, retail and property-management contracts. Details are on our insurance page, and we can turn a COI around quickly during procurement.
What It Costs and When to Book
Cost is driven by height first, then by whether the tree is RGB or warm white, then by decoration level, site complexity and how long it stays up. Nationally, a fully decorated and professionally installed 20-foot commercial tree runs upward of $10,000, and the larger tower sizes go well beyond that.
We’d rather quote you accurately than guess, so every project starts with a site visit and a written proposal covering the tree, installation, power, maintenance, removal and storage as one number no surprise line items in December.
On timing: commercial tower trees are the earliest-booking item we handle. Inventory in the larger sizes is genuinely limited, and municipal and retail buyers often need a quote in hand for a budget cycle that closes months before the season. Spring and summer are the right time to start the conversation. By October the large sizes are usually committed.
Request a commercial quote and we’ll get a site visit scheduled.
Who We Install For
Shopping centers and retail plazas, town and county governments, HOAs and residential communities, hotels and resorts, hospitals and campuses, churches, wineries and event venues, and corporate campuses and business parks.
If your property needs more than a tree, a tower tree usually anchors a larger scheme. We also build giant Christmas light displays, oversized holiday light figures and walk-through tunnel light structures for drive-through and walk-through holiday experiences. The full range is on our commercial lighting page.
For properties that want lighting year-round rather than seasonally, permanent lighting puts a controllable system on the building once and runs it for every holiday.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should we book?
For 12 to 20 foot trees, a few months is usually enough. For 30 feet and above, start in spring or early summer. Large-size inventory is limited and it commits early.
How long does installation take?
Smaller trees go up in a day. Larger tower trees take two or more days depending on height, decoration and site access. We schedule around your operating hours so we’re not blocking customer traffic.
Do we need an electrician?
Sometimes. Smaller trees often work off existing exterior power. Larger RGB trees frequently need dedicated circuits or a panel connection, and we’ll tell you which situation you’re in after the site visit.
What happens if something fails mid-season?
We come out and fix it. In-season maintenance is included, which is the main reason properties rent rather than buyย a purchased tree with a dead section in mid-December becomes your problem.
Can the tree run our brand colors?
Yes, on RGB trees. We program scenes and schedules, so the tree can run holiday colors most of the season and switch for a specific event or campaign.
Can we use it for a tree-lighting ceremony?
Yes, and we’ll build the sequence for it. Tell us the date and we’ll program the reveal and be on site to run it.
Who stores it?
We do. The tree comes down in January and goes back to our warehouse. You store nothing.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. See our insurance page or ask us during the quote.
Start Your Commercial Tree Project
Tell us the site, the height you’re picturing, and roughly when you need it lit. We’ll do a site visit, confirm power and anchoring, and send a written proposal covering the whole season.
Our light will delight. That’s the mission, and on a commercial project it means the tree is lit on the night you said it would be, and stays lit.
