What the North Pole Package Covers

The North Pole Package covers up to 400 feet of roof line, which is the largest residential package Lights Around installs. That footage is usually enough to trace the full front elevation of a large two-story home along with both side returns, a garage wing, and a detached structure or second-floor dormer run. Each strand of C9 bulbs is measured and cut to your specific roof rather than pulled off a shelf, so the line stays straight and evenly spaced across every peak, valley and dormer instead of sagging where the pitch changes. The whole display runs on a single standard circuit. If you are not sure whether 400 feet is more than your home needs, the Santa Package covers up to 275 feet and is the right fit for most two-story homes with one side return, and you can compare all four tiers side by side on the Christmas light packages page.

What's Included for $3,200

The package price covers the entire season, not just the hanging. It includes a design consultation where our team measures your roof lines using our online measuring tool and sends back a proposed layout within 48 hours, the professional installation itself, service calls during the season if a strand goes out or a clip works loose, takedown in January, and off-season storage of your custom-cut strands so they are ready for next year. There is no ladder work for you at any point, and nothing to box up and find room for in the garage. Every quote we write includes takedown and storage; those are not add-ons, and you will not see them appear as line items later.

Finish the Display Beyond the Roof Line

A 400-foot roof line makes the house read from the street, but the ground-level details are what make it look designed rather than decorated. Tree light wraps run from $150 for a small tree up to $1,475 for the largest specimens and give the front yard depth once the roof is lit. Lighted wreaths and garland frame the entry and dormers, and pillar light wraps โ€” ten inches wide and eight feet tall, in six colorsย  turn columns and porch posts into part of the display. Most homeowners who choose the North Pole Package add at least two of these, and installation and removal are included on all of them.

Where We Install

Lights Around installs across Central and Northern Virginia from our Locust Grove location at 3494 C Germanna Hwy, covering ten markets including Fredericksburg, Fairfax, Loudoun County, Culpeper, Manassas, Woodbridge, Charlottesville, Richmond, Lynchburg and the Quantico and Prince William area. If your address is near the edge of one of those markets, submit a quote or call and we will confirm coverage before you go any further โ€” the full list is on our service areas page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many feet of roof line does my house need?

Most single-story homes fall between 75 and 175 feet, most two-story homes between 175 and 275 feet, and homes that need the full 400 feet are typically large two-story properties with multiple rooflines, a garage wing and side returns. You do not need to measure it yourself โ€” submit a quote and our team measures from your address and sends back the footage with a proposed design within 48 hours.

No. Roof line lights are attached with clips designed for shingles and gutters, with no nails, screws or staples going into the house. Nothing is drilled and nothing is fastened permanently, which is the main difference between a seasonal package like this one and a permanent lighting system.

Call us and we come out. In-season service is part of the package price, so there is no service charge for a strand that fails, a clip that comes loose in wind, or a section that gets knocked out of line. You never need to get on a ladder.

We do, in January. Takedown is included in every quote, and so is off-season storage โ€” your strands are cut to your roof, so we keep them and reinstall the same set next season rather than starting over.

Book as early as you can. Installation runs from late October through early December, and the largest packages take the longest to install, so those dates go first. Homes that book in September and early October get their choice of date.

Yes. Because the package is a seasonal rental rather than a purchase, you can switch from warm white to candy cane or any other combination the following year without buying new lights. If you want to change colors within a single season, ask about the color-changing C9 upgrade instead.

Reserve the North Pole Package for This Season

Add the North Pole Package to your cart with the color option you want, submit your quote, and you will have a proposed design back within 48 hours with no obligation. If you would rather talk it through first, call the number for your area or reach us at office@LightsAround.comย  and if you are still deciding between package sizes, the full Christmas lighting lineup lays out all four tiers with footage and pricing so you can see where your home fits.
